Play Fitness has developed a range of 10 Functional Fitness exercise stations. They help the user become more active by building endurance and strength. Each piece offers a fun, self-guided way to exercise and is a lasting investment to any outdoor space. Made from recycled plastic, they are designed to last with no moving parts. They require minimal maintenance, making them ideal for public use.

400mm Hurdles

Hurdles are great for running or jumping over. They help to strengthen muscles, bones and joints.

Angle Press Bars

This can be used by two people at the same time to perform dips or press ups. Both involve enhancing upper body strength and tightening the core.

Exercise Bench

The Exercise Bench is a great addition to the Functional Fitness range. It can be used for a number of workouts such as, sit ups, press ups or to jump over.

Functional Fitness Instruction Board

The Instruction Board is a great way to introduce users to the Functional Fitness area. Giving them information on each item and instructions on how to use each one.

Parallel Bars

Parallel Bars are great for an upper body workout. Helping to strengthen the back, chest and arms. Whilst increasing core strength, coordination and muscle endurance.

Pull-Up Bars

A three-in-one exercise station, these bars can be used for pull ups, press ups and sit ups. All these exercises use the upper body, so help to strengthen your biceps, triceps, forearms, wrists, grip strength, lats, shoulders and your core.

Sit-Up Bench

A variation of exercises can be done on the Sit Up Bench. The exercise helps to improve posture, whilst strengthening the abdominal muscles.

Spring Hand Disc

This is great for enhancing balancing skills. The disc can be used to stand or lean on.

Monkey Bars

The Monkey Bars challenge the user to build up strength and stamina in the arms and lower abdomen.

Leg Raiser

This piece encourages strengthening the lower abdomen and hip muscles. This is one of our more challenging pieces of outdoor gym equipment.

Cargo Net

The goal of the Cargo Net is to ascend the net, climb over the top and then descend the net making it a great addition to a racecourse. This encourages coordination skills and overall core strength.

Hop-Over Bars

The Hop Over Bars can be used by gripping with both hands and jumping over, this helps build core strength and leg muscles. They can also be used to hold whilst performing squats to help with balance.

Split Traverse Wall

Traverse the wall horizontally using the hand and foot holds, this is great for improving climbing abilities, agility, and overall strength.

Slack Line

The Slack Line involves walking along the suspended length of rope. This exercise involves full concentration, ensuring the user doesn’t fall off. It improves balance, increases muscle tone throughout the body, helps with posture and sharpens focus.

Spring seat hand cycle

The aim of the spring seat hand cycle is to keep an upright seated position while rotating the handles, encouraging a good posture ad giving a cardiovascular workout to the user.

Pull-Up Bar

The goal of the pull up bar is to use the arms to pull the body up until the chin has cleared the bar, this helps the user with building up strength in the upper abdomen and biceps.

Over and Under Hurdles

The aim is for the user to go under and over the alternating bars, this is a great way for the user to increase agility, coordination, and overall strength.
